SEICAM® 3000 is a modern, high-performance and modular digital audio and data distribution system for internal and external communication systems on naval vessels.
SEICAM 3000 allows the configuration of centralized or decentralized blocking-free distribution architectures for the digital distribution of voice and data. All on-board communication sources including voice and data terminals, radios, modems, encryption equipment etc. can be connected and assigned to various channels.
The system is highly flexible with respect to architecture, programmable communications scenarios and user terminal functionality. Furthermore, it requires very little cabling effort. Only 2 wires (4 wires for dual homing) and 2 wires for power distribution are required for connection of the UST 5200 U user terminal, which means significant cost savings for new systems as well as refit programs.
The digital distribution node DDN 3001 is the system’s central switching matrix which enables the distribution of up to 1000 audio and/or data channels via programmable nodes including all associated control signals. The status of current communications is displayed on a terminal with the user-friendly RCS 3001 configuration software, which is also used to program the individual channel connections.
Internal and external voice communication is realized by the user terminals UST 5200 U which feature a touchscreen display with programmable softkeys for maximum flexibility.
Users can communicate via pre-programmed internal communications line such as point-to-point and conference as well as external radio connections.
In addition, DTMF telephones, telephone systems, loudspeakers, sound-powered telephones and other equipment can be integrated.
