History

Hans Neufeldt and Karl Kuhnke were pioneers of telephony and fascinated by the possibilities of wireless telegraphy leading to the result, that ship and shore-based radio systems from Hagenuk have been providing reliable worldwide communication for several decades.

We, the employees of Hagenuk Marinekommunikation GmbH, continue the tradition of our founders with respect and work with enthusiasm and commitment to provide our customers with technical excellence.

Company’s Background:

  • 1899
    Foundation of the company Neufeldt & Kuhnke.
  • 1914
    Hanseatische Apparatebau Gesellschaft opens a branch at the Neufeldt & Kuhnke works site in Kiel.
  • 1995
    Hagenuk Funknachrichtentechnik GmbH founded from the former Radio Communication division of Hagenuk.
  • 1996
    Daimler-Benz Aerospace (DASA) takes over Hagenuk 
  • 1998
    Merger of Daimler Benz with Chrysler (U.S.A.), renaming of DASA to Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace. 
  • 2000
    Daimler Chrysler Aerospace (DASA, GE), Aerospaciale Matra (FR) and CASA (SP) merge to form the EADS European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company. 
  • 2007
    Hagenuk Marinekommunikation GmbH is taken over by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH, Bremen, a joint company of ThyssenKrupp and EADS.
  • 2017
    ThyssenKrupp has taken over the ATLAS ELEKTRONIK part from EADS and assigned it to tKMS, thyssen Krupp Marine Systems
