HF Radio Series 3000

HMK’s HF Radio Series 3000 is a family of software-based, multi-purpose, high-performance and modular equipment in the frequency range 10 kHz to 30 MHz (receive) and 1.5 MHz to 30 MHz (transmit). It includes the following equipment:

  • HF Transceiver TRX 3015 (120 W)
  • HF Transceiver TRX 3050 (500 W)
  • HF Transceiver TRX 3100 (1 kW)
  • HF Transmitter TX 3500 (5 kW)
  • HF Transmitter TX 310K/FH (10 kW)
  • VLF/HF Receiver RX 3002

The equipment family features identical basic modules for the receivers as well as transmitters/transceivers. The modular design not only results in cost savings for production and product versatility but also implies advantages with respect to integrated logistic support (ILS) and high upgrade potential.

The radios can be operated at the built-in front panel display which assists during menu-driven operation and/or at the detached front panel DFP 3000 T or, alternatively,  at the remote control terminal UT 3002. Parameter settings can be easily adjusted at the front panel via soft keys, flywheel and keypad elements.

To adapt the transceivers to the corresponding antennas, various automatic antenna tuning units (ATU) are available for up to 1kW HF.

  • Built-in automatic link establishment (ALE) acc. to MIL-STD-188-141B, App. A
  • Built-in high-speed multifunctional data modem (MIL-STD-188-110B, STANAG 4285 etc.)

  • Frequency hopping mode (MAHRS and/or STANAG 4444 compatible) with external hopping controller
  • HF e-mail (STANAG 5066) and Link 22 interface upgrade
